Information from Thelma Dangerfield, msty@att.net, 12 Apr 2013: Parents were Alex & Lue Lewis Buford. He married Olevia Johnson. He died from heart disease.
Information from Leslie Buford, lob1120@att.net, 1/16/2015: Thomas Buford was the son of Alexander and Louisa Lewis-Buford born July 4, 1880 in Pattonville, TX. Family and friends always called him Tom. Tom met and married Lillie Carr on August 23, 1914 in Paris. From this union no children were born, however Tom helped raise his two step-children Mamie and Arther Carr. Tom passed away on August 6, 1941. His residence at time of death was Stelltown. Burial was scheduled August 10, 1941 in Paris, per George M. Guest, undertaker, signature on death certificate. Cemetery is not specified. Sources used: United States Federal Census records, Lamar Co. marriage records, death certificate, and conversations with family members.
