| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 24, 2008: "Hardy Thomas, 89, of Paris, passed away March 20, 2008. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at New Birth Baptist Church with the Rev. S. F. Evans officiating. Interment follows in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. He was born May 3, 1918, in Biardstown to the parentage of the late Tommy and Viola Thomas. He was a member of the New Birth Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Beard Thomas; and children Albert and Joetta Thomas. Survivors include sons, Hardy Thomas, Jr., of Garland, Jimmie Thomas, of Tulia, and Jack and Tommy Thomas, of Dallas; daughters Georgia Manning, of Topeka, Kan., and Johnnie M. Hall, of Paris; also 18 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. " |
