THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012: “Rollover kills one - Passenger receives life-threatening injuries - A one-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Sulphur Springs man shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday in northern Delta County, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety report. Tyler Brazeal, the driver of the 2002 Dodge truck, died at the scene. A passenger, Caitlin Keim of Cumby, received life-threatening injuries. The crash happened one mile south of the North Sulphur River, according to a report by Department of Public Safety trooper James Farrelly. ‘The vehicle was traveling north on Highway 24, left the roadway and overturned,’ the trooper stated in a report. Other details, including the ages of both Brazeal and Keim, were not available.“

THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, Jan. 6, 2012:  “Tyler Scott Brazeal, 20, of Sulphur Springs passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, in Delta County as the result of a vehicle accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at Paris First Assembly of God with Rev. Mickey Ellis and Brad Foreman officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery with Justin Shoff, Chance France, Max Cosme, Devin Nelams, Justin Edwards, Hunter Rosson as pallbearers and Brandon Ballard as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Tyler was born on Dec. 30, 1991, in Paris, the son of Michael and Ruby Nelams Brazeal. He was a full-time student attending Paris Junior College where he made the dean’s list this semester. He was transferring to Texas A&M University in Canyon to pursue a degree in the medical field. Tyler was a very compassionate person about Christ and helping others. He attended First Assembly of God in Paris where he was active as a teenager in the youth department and had currently been serving as a sponsor in the youth department. He was an employee of McDonald’s in Sulphur Springs. He was engaged to Kaitlin Keim. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jimmy Brazeal and Donald Nelams. He is survived by his parents, Ruby Brazeal of Paris and Michael Brazeal of Forney; grandparents, Myrtle and Bobby Ausmus of Paris and Sarah Cross of Paris; great-grandfather Troy Harrell; aunts, Karen Nelams and Kathi Foreman; uncles, Donald Nelams, Mark Nelams, David Nelams and Jeff Brazeal; and numerous cousins.
