THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 13, 2006: “Lewis E. ‘Ben’ Ingram Jr., 86, of Roxton went to be with his heavenly Father, Sunday, February 12, 2006, at the Bonham VA Nursing Home Care Unit. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services 2 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 14, at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. The family will receive friends at his residence in Roxton. He was born April 17, 1919, in Roxton, a son of Lewis E. and May Martin Ingram. He married Betty Carlton April 3, 1943, in Seattle, Wash. He served his country in World War II in the Navy. He was self-employed as a farmer and dozer operator. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. L. E. Ingram and sisters, Ruth Hayes and Virginia Fain. He leaves behind a beloved wife of 63 years, Betty Ingram; three children, Craig Ingram and wife, Sandra, of Talco, Tanna Pryor of Tyler, Ronald Ingram and wife, Linda, of Roxton; seven grandchildren, Nicole and husband Jeff Drake, of Denver, Colo., Traci and husband, Harold Watkins, of Cooper, Chad and wife, Brooke Ingram, of Tyler, Brad and wife, Amy Ingram, of Henderson, Staci and husband, Darren Hamner, of Paris, Angi and husband, Gerald Cox, of Paris, Morgan and husband, Chad Privett, of Roxton; five great-grandchildren, Kira and Kohl Drake of Denver, Colo., Katlyn Watkins of Cooper, Korbin Hamner of Paris, and Grady Ingram of Henderson.
