THE PARIS NEWS,  Dec. 01, 2000:  "Nathan H. Beaird Jr., 60, of Blossom died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Christus St. Josephs Hospital.  Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Mr. Beaird was born Aug. 7, 1940, in Lufkin to Nathan Harvey and Ennis Robinson Beaird.  He married Virginia McEwin Sept. 21, 1987, in Paris.  He served his country in the Navy and worked for Philips Lighting Corp. and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist.  Surviving are his wife, Virginia; children, Nathan Beaird III, Brent Beaird, and Lana Cashion; stepchildren, Elizabeth Redus, Ronald Armstrong and Dennis Renfro; 23 grandchildren; a brother, Oscar Beaird; and two sisters, Carolyn Redd and Laurine Lowrey.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Theilman, Butch Moore, Brad Madding, John Moon, Tim Jester and Greg Hodnett.  www.legacy.com."
