THE PARIS NEWS, May 23, 2005: "Doyle Ray Tucker, 79, of Paris passed away Sunday, May 22, 2005, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Providence Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Myre officiating. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and they are set to be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Mitchell at other times. He was born Aug. 31, 1925, in Cooper, the son of Reason Absent and Thelma Hurley Tucker. He was a concrete contractor and worked a number of years doing concrete work on new homes for Roger Price. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Billie Newman. He is survived by his wife, Florence Nutt Tucker; five children, Patsy Mitchell and husband, James, Shirley Meredith, Peggy Millsap, Donald Day and wife, Gloria, and Vickie Reves and husband, Earl, all of Paris; one brother, James Tucker and wife, Linda, of Dallas; three sisters, Rita and Bobbie both of Dallas and Helen of Perryton; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; along with four great-great-grandchildren. Casket bearers are to be Wesley Meredith, Johnny Meredith Jr., Jeffrey Day, Thomas Cox, Lewis Mitchell, John Hayes, Michael Reves and Brandon Horton. Honorary bearer is be Robert Mickens."
