THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 11, 2005: 'HONEY GROVE, J. D. 'Dutch' Thomas, 88, of Honey Grove died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Sterling officiating. Burial follows in Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 5, 1917, in the Noble Community, the son of John Thomas and Minnie Brown. He was a farmer and rancher. He married Martha Frances Cunningham on Aug. 14, 1943, in Rock Hill Community. He was a member of Roxton Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elbert, Herbert and Willie Thomas; three sisters, Nina Braddock, Lora Dawson and Lurine Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Frances Thomas of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Nancy Thomas of Jacksboro; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Craig Ingram of Talco; five grandsons, Brett Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Tony Thomas, Chad Ingram and Brad Ingram; five great-grandchildren, Maci Thomas, KariLynn Thomas, Dylan Thomas, Brady Ingram and Kobe Thomas; two brothers, Floyd Thomas of Ben Franklin and Robert Thomas of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Faye Faulkner of Modesta, California. Pallbearers are Brett Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Tony Thomas, Chad Ingram, Brad Ingram, James Thomas, Larry Chaney and Maynard Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Morris Martin, Jim Crawford, Larry Spray, Albert Anderson, Bill White, L. W. Hohenberger and Toby Thomas.'
