THE PARIS NEWS, Jul. 27, 2005: 'Jessie M. Baldwin, 83, of Paris passed away Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Battle officiating. Burial follows in Fairland-Littlejohn Cemetery. She was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Paris, to the parentage of the late Will and Mattie Richardson Hayes. She graduated from Lamar County Schools and was a member of New Generation Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd Leon Baldwin and Willie Mack Baldwin. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Lonnie Baldwin of Paris; sons, Odis Baldwin and wife, Kathryn, of Paris; godson, the Rev. Joe Battle of Arkadelphia, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Hazel Baldwin of Kansas City, Mo.; sister, Hazel Russell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; also nine grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.'
