THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 24, 2005: 'Veda Maude McLeod Bailey, 97, of Friendswood, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2005. A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31, at East Paris Baptist Church under the direction of Gene Roden's Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at East Paris Baptist Church. She was born Oct. 25, 1907. She was a long time member of East Paris Baptist Church. She was a nurse at McCuistion Hospital for over 30 years. She lived in Friendswood, with her daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Bob White. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Bob White; sons, Arthur Lindsey 'Art' Bailey and wife, Eloise of Longview, Charles Bailey and wife, Sharon, of Alvin; grandchildren, Lesa White Roecker and husband, Roger, of Pearland, Kelley White Hawkins and husband, Chad, of Pearland, Lance Bailey and wife, Diane, of Paris and Patricia Lynn Bailey of Longview; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley and Kimberly Roecker and Miranda Bailey.'
