| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 09, 2005: 'COOPER, Ruth Bacon, 96, of Cooper passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2005, at Birchwood Nursing Home in Cooper. Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Bethel Cemetery in the Scoggins Community with Gary McCain, the Rev. Henry Suche and the Rev. Debbie Riggsby officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Delta Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born Sept. 6, 1908. She was the daughter of Allen Turner and Susan Dora Shirley. She married Mr. Pete Bacon on Nov. 6, 1942. He preceded her in death March 24, 1996. She had been a resident of Mount Pleasant and had been a resident of Cooper the past nine years. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn McCain and husband, Gary, of Cooper and Sue Regan and husband, Jimmy, of Lowry Crossing; brothers, Clovis Turner of Moody and Finis Turner of Houston; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.' |
