THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 02, 2005: 'HUGO, Okla., Margaret Beason, 78, of Paris died Saturday, July 30, 2005, in Dallas. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at Grant Baptist Church in Grant, Okla., with the Rev. Dick McClure officiating. Burial was to follow in Grant Cemetery under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home. She was born on March 1, 1927, in Grant, Okla., to Robert and Gertie Gustin Rankin. She married Jamie Beason on Sept. 19, 1942, in Hugo, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of Grant Baptist Church. She was very active in her church and served on the board of directors for Grant Cemetery for several years. She loved sewing, gardening and traveling. She lived in the Goodland community most of her life before moving to Paris three years ago to be near her daughter. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jamie Beason; and one brother, Jack Rankin. She is survived by one daughter, Carol A. Beason-Dillon of Paris; three sons, Mickey Beason of Sobol, Okla., Gary Don Beason and Marcus Stephen Beason, both of Hugo, Okla.; two brothers, Arlie Rankin of Martinez, Calif., and Dean Rankin of Hollis, Okla.; one sister, Greta McFarrin of Hugo, Okla.; five grandchildren, Julie Fairchild of Yukon, Okla., James Todd Beason of Fort Towson, Okla., Christina Gallant of Bonham, Dena Beason Yukon, and Michelle Beason of Hugo; five great-grandchildren, Emily Gallant of Bonham, Regan Fairchild and Justin Fairchild, both of Yukon, and Keller Beason and Kaden Beason, both of Fort Towson.'
