Notes
THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 26, 2005: 'Angie Ellington Pyles Barron, 44, of Chicota died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at her home, a place she loved. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at her home in Chicota. Those wishing to attend may call 903-732-3678 for directions. Being a nurse and working in healthcare many years, it was her desire to be a part of the Willed Body Program at U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Following her death Bright-Holland Funeral Home made arrangements for her to be moved to the medical school. She was born Aug. 6, 1960, to Tommy and Delia Ellington. She was the third child and the 'brat.' Ask her brother, the only survivor of the bunch, Little Tommy Ellington. She was an interesting and complex lady. She was a true believer of people and loved to meet and help in any way she could. She spent her entire life as a caregiver even if it interfered with her own. Her common sense, straight talk and sense of humor defined her character. If she liked you she loved you, if she didn't, 'not even if they were on fire.' She worked EMS for 7 years in Fort Worth, the battlefields, as she called it. She then went to work in the Dallas area where she cared for and loved many. Her cup was always half full, being half empty would just never do. A free spirit all of her life, and it did cost her, she traveled to new and unique places just to see and meet the people. She used to say 'I'd rather be in a biker bar than at the country club.' Her gruff exterior was a bluff. She had a heart the size of Texas. She described herself as a charming social challenge, and that she was. She loved the old, the young and animals that needed help. Her other passions were fishing, Jimmy Buffett (she was a true parrot head), education, cooking and gardening. The world and everyday life will be a little less interesting without her in it. She is survived by an only child, a daughter, Kennett Nicole Pyles and three grandpets, Doja, the lizard and its newest arrival, and the puppy, Luna, all of San Marcos; a step-daughter, who she claimed as her own, Jennifer Barron and human grandson, Shannon Dean White; two ex-husbands, most called 'Poor Gomer' Kenneth Ray Pyles of Houma, La. and 'Poor Jonhze' Brad Barron of Fort Worth. If desired, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Family Haven Crisis & Resource, 1220 Clarksville St., Paris Texas, 75460. Those wishing to send flowers may have them delivered to her home.'
