THE PARIS NEWS, Jun. 12, 2005: “Nancy Faye Bridgers, 54, loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday June 10, 2005, at her residence, following a courageous struggle with diabetes. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Ricky Marshall officiating. Interment follows in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday. She was born October 25, 1950, in Paris, a daughter of Winfred and Vivian Cooley Marshall. She attended Paris schools, and her love of children led her to work in child care until her illness prevented. She married Charles Roy Bridgers on May 15, 1968, in Paris. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Bobby Dale Marshall; and by her father, Winfred Marshall. She is survived by her loving and devoted caregiver and husband, Charles; four daughters, Cindy Nye of Paris, Tammy Bridgers of Paris, Melissa Stockton of Cooper, and Kimberly Bridgers of Paris; a son, Brian Bridgers of Paris; 10 grandchildren, Blake Davis, Cody Stockton, Spencer Nye, Cade Stockton, Dylan Safi, Landon Bridgers, Morgan Bridgers, Harley Cooper, Mason Nye and Hagan Cooper; her mother, Vivian Marshall of Paris; five brothers, Billy Marshall of Powderly, Kenneth Marshall of Paris, Rickey Marshall of Espolnolia, N.M., Johnny Marshall of Paris, and Jerry Marshall of Mount Pleasant. Serving as pallbearers are Blake Davis, Bobby Dewayne Bridgers, Thomas Dale Martin, Cody Stockton, Chad Nye and Frank Cooper. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to her caregivers from VistaCare Hospice and Red River Home Health, especially her caregiver Lois Woodall, and to all who stood by her during her illness.”
