THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 05, 2005: 'Melvitta Brown, 61, of Paris died Saturday, July 30, 2005, in Paris Nursing Home. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Tudor Street Church of Christ with Bro. Odis Knight officiating. Interment follows in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home. She was born May 3, 1944, in Lamar County, to the late Jimmy and Viola Hopkins Brown. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Dillard; sons, Carl and wife, Natalie Brown, of Paris, Jimmy Brown of Paris, Glenn Brown and wife, Odessa, of Arlington; brothers, Johnny Lee Brown, Ed Lee Brown of Paris and Clint Brown of Oklahoma City, Okla.; also four grandchildren.'
