THE PARIS NEWS, May 24, 2005: "Deborah Beshirs, 47, of Paris died Sunday, May 22, 2005, in M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, after a courageous battle with Cancer. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, in Littlejohn Cemetery with the Rev. Sonny Sparks officiating. Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born Aug. 25, 1957, in Paris, the daughter of William Shelby Dawes and Vina Lucinda Hyatt. She married Paul Andrew Beshirs on Aug. 20, 1975, in Garretts Bluff. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Paul Beshirs of Powderly; son, Brock Beshirs and wife, Brenda, of Sumner; daughter, Candace Russell and husband, Trey, of Paris; sister, Mirim Smallwood and husband, Danny, of Powderly; half-sisters, Lynn Baker, Louis Slater and Susan Foster, all of Missouri; four grandchildren, Brett, Kaylie, Zane and Corbin Beshirs, all of Paris. Pallbearers will be Aaron Beshirs, Gerald Beshirs, Dewayne Stephens, Gary Carr, Carl Barnett and Robert Pervis."
