THE PARIS NEWS, Jun. 02, 2005: 'John Paul Bowman, 70, of Lake Creek died Monday, May 30, 2005, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Delta County. Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, June 3, in Meadowbrook Garden Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born April 7, 1935, in the Taylortown Community, a son of Paul and Claudia Marie Roddy Bowman. He served his country in the Air Force. He was a contractor for R. L. Murrell Co. in road construction. His favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He really enjoyed being with his friends and neighbors at Lake Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Joe Bowman. Survivors include three daughters, Nancy, Susan and Paula; a step-son, Bruce Howard; a brother, Doug Bowman and several nieces and nephews.'
