THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 21, 2005: "Lewis V. Ingram, 78, of Paris passed away Friday, March 18, 2005, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Erik Wilkins officiating. The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born May 14, 1926, in Paris to Walter H. ‘Bill’ and Clara Saylors Ingram. He graduated from Paris High School in 1944 and joined the Navy during World War II. He served in the Pacific aboard an aviation repair ship. After discharge from the Navy in 1946, he attended Tyler Commercial College. He operated Ingram Garage and T.V. Service until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he worked in the Preschool Department, was an usher, a volunteer at Paris Regional Medical Center at the North Campus and coached youth baseball at the Paris Boys Club. He married Janice Scott on May 25, 1947, in Paris. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Janice Ingram Williams of Paris; son, Bill Ingram and wife, Jo Lee, of Coppell; granddaughters, Jessica Ingram and Kelsey Ingram; brothers, B. J. Ingram and wife, Gettie Lee, of Midland, John Ingram and wife, Nancy, of Temple; sister-in-law, Virginia Scott Lowe of Durant, Okla., along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Clyde Champion, Leon Lewis, Bob Myers, Danny Huff, Tom Anderson, Dr. David Miesch, Quinton Hawkins and Les Stidham. Honorary pallbearers are Loyd Mathews, Darrell Hawkes Jr., Tom Sanders Jr. and Greg Gosselin.?
