LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Dec 1978: 'Word was received here in Roxton on December 6, of the death of Auswell Creed Barnett of Winston Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Barnett was born in Fort Worth on November 2, 1920. He and his mother, Mrs. Mary Creed Barnett later moved to Roxton where they lived with his grandmother, Mrs. Liza Creed. Mr. Barnett is survived by his wife and one son, Jim. Mr. Barnett graduated from Roxton School in 1938. He is also survived by one cousin, Ingram Creed of Roxton.' Transcribed by Mary Tallant.
