THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 23, 2006: "Winona Eva Taylor, 85, of Paris passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Dverle Archer officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery at Taylortown. The family receives friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor, the daughter of Harry and Alta Archer Gordon, was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Lamar County. She married J. B. Taylor on Dec. 1, 1938, in Deport. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1998. She owned and operated Winona's Antiques for many years and attended Bethel Temple Church. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Tracy Harvey and Todd Harvey, and a brother, Gerald Gordon. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Parker and husband, Harmon, of Paris, and Rita Gilbert and husband, Gary, of Rockport; a granddaughter-in-law, Denene Harvey Taylor of Reno; two great-grandsons, Zachery Harvey and Trey Harvey both of Reno; two brothers, Ulus Gordon, Daff Gordon and wife, Jo, all of Paris; a sister-in-law, Irene Gordon of Paris, along with numerous nieces and nephews. On the same stone with husband, J. B. Taylor. Back of tombstone is inscribed, "Daughters - Barbara Dean Parker, Rita A. Gilbert; Grandchildren - Tracy Gravan Harvey, Charles Todd Harvey, Denene Harvey; Great Grandchildren - Trey Gravan Harvey, Zachery Lee Harvey."
