Information from Bright-Holland Funeral Home: Stanley V. Biggs Jr. January 22, 1948 – June 11, 2024 Obituary of Stanley V. Biggs Jr.Stanley V. Biggs, Jr., 76, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Heritage House of Paris. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 14th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with burial following in Springhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Stanley, the son of Stanley V. Biggs, Sr. and Mildred Gregory Biggs, was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Edinburg, TX. He graduated from Bells High School in 1966, and then moved to California where he attended college. Upon returning to Paris, Stanley attended Paris Junior College and began working at the Campbell Soup Company. He then joined the United States Army followed by the National Guard, where he retired following a career that spanned 24 years. He enjoyed Civil War reenactments and anything to do with the Civil War. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Martha Faye Biggs, whom he married on Sept. 1, 1984, building 17 years of family and memories before her death on Oct. 2, 2001. He was also preceded in death by siblings; Hazel Hampton, Merry Lee Byram, Shirley Warrington, and Barbara McCartney. Survivors include a son, Charles Westbrooks (Erica), and siblings, Helen McCartney, Leona Womack, Mildred Prunty (Jerry), and Bryan Biggs along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
