THE PARIS NEWS, July 17, 2011, p. 6A: "Sarah Voncile Thompson, 85, of Paris, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at her home.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Sanders and the Rev. Doug Holt officiating.  Burial is to follow in Red Hill Cemetery.  The family is to receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  The daughter of Leland Stanford Boland Sr. and Amand Jane Talley Boland, she was born Jan 15, 1926, in Wewoka, Okla.  On Oct. 10, 1942, she married Aldon O. Thompson, building 60 years of family and memories before his death on April 11, 2003.  She was a member of Paris Church of God.  Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband; a daughter, Debra West and husband, Anthony; two sisters, Mildred Boland Apple and Clarine Boland Hubbard; and five brothers, Marshall Boland, J. W. Boland, Leland Stanford Boland Jr., Billy Joe Boland and Woodrow Boland.  Survivors include four children, Vernon Lee Thompson and wife, Suzanne, Ronald Wade Thompson and wife, Jeanne, Sarah Sue Culver and husband, Benny, and Kathy Diane Weddle and husband, Jim, all of Paris, 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  Casket bearers will be Kevin Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Dwayne Culver, Jim Hall, Kenneth Poole and Clay Coan.  Honorary bearers will be Ryan Cody, Rhett Cody, Evan Cooper and Josh Coan."
