THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. l 22, 2004: 'CLARKSVILLE, Mary Elizabeth Reep Bean, 92, of Clarksville died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at her home. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday, April 23, in Lindeman Chapel with the Rev. A. B. Kellam and the Rev. Mark Gossett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born in the Liberty community of Red River County on Nov. 25, 1911, the daughter of Henry Walter and Missouri Alexander Reep. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde R. Bean; three brothers, Slim, Doc and Willie Reep; and one sister. Survivors include daughters, Sherree Peek and husband, Dudley, of Dallas, Martha Clyde Bean of Clarksville and special friend, Mike Clement, of Pattonville and Mary Beth Petri of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Tonya R. Nuzum, Wendy R. Miller and Jeremy A. Petri; two great-grandchildren; Joshua Nuzum and Alex Petri; a sister-in-law, June Reep of Paris; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and her dog, Brutis. Named as pallbearers are Leslie Bishop, Scotty Humphrey, Billy Mauldin, Scott Hinkle, Eddie Pryor, Glen Stewart and Jackie Austin.'
