THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 29, 2004: "William Floyd Brown, 80, of Paris went to meet his Lord and Savior Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, in Parkview Care Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 1, in Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Cook officiating. Private interment will be in Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom under the direction of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29, at the funeral home. He was born on Aug. 25, 1923, in McKinney, the son of David Tine and Helen Taylor Brown. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1950. He married Charlene Fults on Dec. 29, 1950, in Paris. He retired from Rockwell International in Downey, Calif., serving for 25 years. He worked on many important projects including the Apollo mission and many other historical aviation programs. He was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Buena Park, Calif., where he served as a deacon and taught junior boys Sunday school. He and his wife moved to Paris in 1976 to retire. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail; a brother, Joe Brown; and his parents. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Charlene, of Blossom; two sons, Terry Brown and Craig Brown, both of North Richland Hills; two daughters, Paula Davidson and husband, Rocky, of Blossom, Tineya Crockett and husband, Scott, of Paris; two sisters, Nadene Borden and husband, Cecil, of Madisonville and Sceleta Hicks and husband, the Rev. Ted Hicks, of Paris; brother, D. T. Brown of Blossom; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends."
On the same stone with Charlene Gale Fults Brown. Also has a military marker inscribed, "TEC 5 US Army - World War II."
