THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 13, 2003: 'Mount Pleasant, Danny Lynn Black, 47, of Talco passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, in Christus St. Joseph's Hospital South in Paris. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in Curry-Weldborn Funeral Chapel in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. David Snelson officiating. Interment followed in Binion Cemetery near Talco. He was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Mount Pleasant to Mack and Charline Pittman Black. He worked at the Paris Packaging Company, was a member of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father in 1988 and one brother-in-law, Bill Perdue. Survivors include his mother, Charline Black of Talco; three sisters, Faye Perdue of Kilgore, Maxine Harell and husband, Frankie, of Talco and Jackie Crowley of Talco; one brother, Butch Black and wife, Harrolyn of Garland; nieces and nephews, Cathy and David McMullen, Carla and Mark McClanaham, Allen Roberts, Damon and Heidi Black, Waylon Perdue, Justin Kirkland, Jolee and John Snoga, Tine and Mike Fleming and Roger Harrell; one great-nephew, Lance Swanner; and one great-niece, Crystal Christin. Terry Giddens, Bobby Dobbs, Terry Malone, Tony Hinson, Mike Figuero and Russeell Garrison srved as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Melvin Randles, John O'Conner, Dino Platt, Clay Genzel, Sammy Hervey and Joe Heavey.'
