THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 09, 2003: 'COMMERCE, Charles Anthony Bradford, 69, of Paris, formerly of Commerce, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in Paris. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, in Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Shields and the Rev. Jon Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce under the direction of Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the funeral home. He was born Oct. 5, 1934, in Bowie County, to Clemist Earl Bradford and Alma Bertha Finley Bradford. He married Myrtle E. Harrell Dec. 30, 2001, in Commerce. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Paris. He was a retired welder and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane Bradford, on June 1, 2000; three sisters, Helen Hodges, Louise McKinney and Dorothy Clark; and three brothers, Herschel Bradford, Darrell Bradford and Junior Bradford. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Bradford of Paris; son, Charles L. Bradford of Washington; three daughters, Patricia L. Bradford of Rockwall, Deborah Skaggs and Sandra Briley of Canton; six stepchildren, Karen Nelams Ballard, Donald Ray Nelams, Kathy Foreman, Mark Nelams, Ruby Brazeal and David Nelams; two grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Miller of Cleburne; and two brothers, J. M. Bradford of Joshua and C. W. Bradford of Vernon.'
