THE PARIS NEWS, Sep. 29, 2003: "Morris Edwin Bush, 69, of Paris passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into their care. Graveside services are set for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, at Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Regan and the Rev. Mike Fortenberry will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home. He was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Ben Franklin to J. P. Bush and Pearl Freeman Bush. He married Marie McEwin on Dec. 22, 1956. He was retired from Babcock and Wilcox where he worked as a supervisor. He served in the National Guard. He was an avid golfer and gardener. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Marie; son, Stephen Bush and wife, Mendy Lassiter Bush, of Allen; daughter, Stacie Bush Veith and husband, Jim, of Austin; one sister, Ruth Bush of Midland; one brother, O. J. Bush and wife, Linda; and four dearly loved grandsons, Drew Bush, Jake Veith, Zach Veith and Ryan Veith, who will miss their ’Poppy.'"
