| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 07, 2003: 'COOPER, Bobby Lee Bettes, 68, of Cooper passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003, in Paris. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Delta Funeral Home. The Rev. Lyn Holly will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the funeral home. He was born Aug. 14, 1934, in Charleston, the son of Samuel and Nita Oats Bettes. He was a retired farmer and rancher and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong resident of Delta County. Survivors include his former wife, Betty Bettes of Cooper; two sons, Tony and Suzan Bettes of Cooper and Ricky Bettes of Honey Grove; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.' |
