THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 24, 2003: 'HONEY GROVE, Carolyn Sue Bass, 67, of Paris, formerly of Honey Grove, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in Paris. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Seminole, Okla., to Lester Joseph Dull and Lorene Gasparine Dull. She married Donald Lee Bass on June 13, 1958 in Bonham. She was a seamstress for Honey Grove Banner and a member of Lamar Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bass, on May 29, 2002; her father, Lester Dull; and two brothers, David Lynn and Joseph Allen Dull. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Misty Bass of Paris; two grandsons, Nathan and Jacob Bass; mother, Lorene Dull of Tulare, Calif.; three sisters, Linda Lorene Gabris of Vienna, Va., Wilma Jean Lakey of Tulare and Linda Yvonne Hogue of White Deer; and one brother, James O'Dell Williams of San Jose, Calif. Pallbearers will be Larry Bramhall, Rick Pirtle, Jim Jones, Edward Massey, Curtis Smith and Billy Bob Stephens. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Thompson and Reed Thomason. She was loved by all and will be very missed.'
