THE PARIS NEWS, Jul. 26, 2002: 'COLEMAN, Lucy B. Blount, 78, of Deport, formerly of Coleman, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, in Deport Nursing Home. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, July 29, at Santa Anna Cemetery with the Rev. James Ford officiating. Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman has charge of arrangements. She was born June 24, 1924, in Winter, Runnels County, and was the daughter of Ben and Mary Esther Horton Bogart. She grew up in Ballinger where she attended school. In the late 1940s she moved to Imperial Valley, Calif. where she lived until 1982. She was a baker and a waitress and married George Blount on July 18, 1982, in Imperial, Calif. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1990. She lived in Coleman until 1996 and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Santa Anna. She was preceded in death by a son, James Elton Rister in 1992. Survivors include two daughters, Nell Smith of Washington and Ann Sanders and husband Jesse of Paris; one son, Randy J. Rister and wife Irma of Imperial, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Sherri Barfield of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Bogart of El Centro, Calif.; and one sister, Virdie Lee Jackson of Austin. Memorials may be made to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, TX 79605.'
