THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 12, 2002: 'FORT WORTH, Walter Bramlett, 80, a retired accountant, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial will follow in Laurel Land Memorial Park under the direction of Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born in Paris, the son of Joe and Willie Bramlett. He served his country proudly in World War II by serving in the Coast Guard and worked as a comptroller for more than 30 years for Kimball Corp. of Fort Worth which later became Mitchells Department Stores. He was a past master of Deer Creek Masonic Lodge 510 and financial officer and member of the executive board of American Legion Post 569. In his recent years he worked with the Firefighter Apartment Movers as an accountant. He was an avid golfer, bowler and voracious reader. Survivors include his loving wife, Roberta Bramlett; son, James Bramlett; stepsons, Santos Michael Rivera and wife, April, Ambrose Rivera and wife, Dara, Eddie Rivera and wife, Carol, and Tim Rivera; stepdaughter, B. B. Phillips and husband, Terry; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Gaynell Bramlett; and numerous nieces and nephews. If desired, memorials may be made to the Masonic Home and School, 3600 Wichita Street, Fort Worth, Tex. 76119.'
