THE PARIS NEWS, Nov. 03, 2002: 'CLARKSVILLE, Lewis E. Bartlett, 84, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, in Christus St. Joseph's Hospital South. Funeral services are set for 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, in the Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Benny Cogburn officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. He was born June 27, 1918, in Clarksville, the son of James E. and Mary Frances Cagle Bartlett. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the City of Clarksville Water Department and he was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Christine Bartlett of Clarksville; stepson, James Gullion of Temple; stepdaughter, Tammie Hluchan of Grapevine; sister, Velma Moore of Rosenberg; and two grandchildren.'
