| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sep. 12, 2002: 'BOGATA, Carl Henry Burns, 78, of Bogata died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in Red River Health Care Center in Bogata. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 under the pavillion of Bogata Cemetery. Burial will follow in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He was born on Nov. 21, 1923 in Cunningham, the son of Gene and Madge Ladd Burns. He married Patsy Martin on Nov. 3, 1950, in Baton Rouge, La. She died Feb. 1, 1995. He was a retired construction worker. Survivors include his two daughters, Diana Huddleston of Denton and Denise Burns of Austin; five grandchildren; three great-grandsons; a stepson, Tommy Holley of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Gerald Burns of Mount Pleasant and Royce Burns of Redwater; and two sisters, Billie Lewis and Ollie Ruth Robinson, both of Bogata; and a number of nieces and nephews.' |
