| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Oct. 24, 2002: 'NEW BOSTON, Randall Loyd Barrett, 31, of Paris, formerly of Simms, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in a tractor trailer accident in Arkansas. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, in Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Interment will follow in Wards Creek Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home in New Boston. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and will be at the home of Wayne Barrett or Helen Barrett in Simms, at other times. He was born Aug. 16, 1971, in Mount Pleasant. He was a truck driver for Hill Grain Inc. and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Simms. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lee Barrett and Jim Proctor. Survivors include his wife, Melody Barrett of Paris; one son, Cody Barrett of Simms; one daughter, Morgan Barrett of Idabel, Okla.; parents, Wayne and Sue Barrett of Simms and Robert and Lucille Teel of Longview; one brother, Larry Barrett and his wife, Paulette, of Henderson; grandparents, Mary Proctor of DeKalb and Helen Barrett of Simms; two nephews, Daniel and Logan Barrett; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.' |
