THE PARIS NEWS, Aug. 26, 2002: "Andrew Lewis Brewer-Sikes, 14, of the Faught Community died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Texas Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are set for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Schupp officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was born on Dec. 9, 1987, in Dallas, a son of Richard Wayne Jr. and Donna Sue Clarkson Sikes. He was a student at Paris High School where he played football on the Paris High freshman team. He was also a member of the Blue Jay’s baseball team of the Breakfast Optimist Pony League. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Richard and Donna; a brother, Clark Brewer-Sikes; grandparents, Don and Glenda Clarkson (PaPaw and Mamaw); Medford and Rose Kernell (Papa Pudge and Mama Rosie); Mrs. D. A. Brewer and the late W. L. Brewer of Arkansas; great-grandmother, Mrs. C. E. Mounce of Louisiana; Richard Sikes Sr.; his biological father, Michael Brewer; aunts and uncles, Shelley and Bryan Robbins of Fort Worth, Katy and Shawn McClanahan of Oklahoma City, Okla., Gladys Sikes Noah of Paris, Annette and James Beard of Missouri, Charlie and Belinda Brewer of Arkansas; special cousins, Amber and Brittany McClanahan of Oklahoma City; and numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Clark Brewer-Sikes, Tim Gates, Joshua Payne, Jason Payne, Justin Payne, Kyle Massay, Brian McCoin, Clay Sikes and Wayne Neal."

Back of tombstone is inscribed, “Andrew Lewis Sikes" on the front and "Son of Richard & Donna, Brother of Clark” on the back. He also has another marker in front of the headstone that is inscribed, "Andrew Lewis Brewer Sikes."
