THE PARIS NEWS, June 26, 2002: ‘Marguerite Tolleson, 83, of Paris died Monday, June 24, 2002 at Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care. Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Hollingsworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Dallas County, the daughter of Herbert and Laura Bell Pless Jenkins. She married Byron Tolleson on June 23, 1941. She retired from the A.S.C.S. office here in Paris after 29 years service. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Paris for 51 years, the Loyal Builder’s Sunday School Class and the C.W.F. She was preceded in death by her son, Herbert A. æHal’ Tolleson on March 29, 2002. Survivors include her husband; daughter-in-law, Sybil Tolleson of Paris; granddaughter Wendy Tolleson of Paris; one brother, H. S. ‘Spud’ Jenkins and wife Mary Alice of Tyler; one sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Davis of California; and several nieces and nephews."
