THE PARIS NEWS, Apr. 29, 2002: "Thomas Earl Bailey, 93, of Paris died Sunday, April 28, 2002 in Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received him into their care. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at Highland Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends form 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He was born Sept. 16, 1908 in Red River County. He married Annie Bell MacCarver in 1945. She preceded him in death in 1976. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a farmer during his working years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Lennon Bailey. Survivors include his son, Stephen E. Bailey and wife Becky of Paris; two grandchildren, Stephen K. Bailey and wife Threasa of Paris and Stephanie Campbell and husband Tommy of Arlington; six great-grandchildren, Zamantha, Alyxzander, Sarah, Stephen John Mark, Koby O’Neill and Brianna; numerous nieces and nephews."
Military marker inscribed, "US Navy - World War II."
