THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 12, 2002: 'HUGO, Okla., John W. Bardin, 79, of Hugo died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at the Veterans Center in Talihina. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Mount Olive Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Lawrenson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery by Mount Olive Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Leota; a son, John Bardin of Towanda, Kansas; daughter, Sandra Songer of Tucson; brother, Henry Hardin of Sweet Home, Ore.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Jack and Bennie Bardin.'
