| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 10, 2002: 'CLARKSVILLE, William C. 'Bill' Bettes, 88, of Clarksville died Thursday, March 7, 2002, in a Dallas hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Gloria, whom he married on June 1, 1947; sons, William Craigo 'Bill' Bettes Jr. of Greenville and Dr. Thomas Neal Bettes of Dallas; a daughter, Betty Louann Dietel and husband Rick of Weston; a brother, Walter Bettes of Alamagordo, N.M., and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Thomas Bettes. Memorials may be made to the McKenzie Memorial United Methodist Church.' |
