THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 14, 2002: 'Today as Tomorrow From Yesterday - The past is a conceptual conclusion that you will and should commemorate, With experiences, forging a foundation from our memories, to steer us as a guide. However, if you live in the past, you will lose tomorrow -- a costly price to pay. The future is an illuminate illusion that you will and should contemplate, With expectations, shaping the structure of our goals and promises, to excite us inside. Nonetheless, if you live for tomorrow, you will have no past -- do not throw that away. Do not forget about tomorrow though it is out of reach. Do not forsake yesterday that bides as a mentor to teach. Furthermore, today is the only day you can control today รน so live your life today. (Bash, the Common Man). SHERMAN, Chris Norman Basham, 50, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at RHD Memorial Center in Farmers Branch. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glynn Tyson of First Baptist Church in Luella officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery by Waldo Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Oct. 8, 1951 in Paris to Ralph Allan and Fay Frith Basham. He received his MBA from East Texas State University and was a member of Sigma Chi. He had a love for writing poetry. Surviving are his wife, Janet of Sherman; mother, Fay Basham of Lake Creek; daughters Rebecca Basham of Sherman and Christina Plumlee and husband Michael of Hawaii; grandsons, Christian and Jonathan Plumlee, both of Hawaii; and brothers, Lloyd Basham and wife Donna of Garland and Allen Basham and wife Gail of Edgewood. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Allen Basham, Dec. 19, 2001. Pallbearers will be William Craven, Jason Basham, Adam Basham, Kevin Basham, Scott Stone, Larry McCava and Jim Irvin. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Thompson, Joseph Sims and Jimmy Sims.'
