THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 17, 2002: 'CLARKSVILLE, Jimmy Lynn Isbell, 52, of Clarksville, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville. Wood Funeral Home will conduct services at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17 in the First Baptist Church of Deport with the Rev. C. G. Renfro and the Rev. Freddy Burden officiating. Burial will be made in Highland Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Vivian and Gordon Isbell in Deport. He was born in Clarksville on Dec. 14, 1949 in Clarksville, the son of Gordon and Vivian Holley Isbell. On April 9, 1977, he married the former Raelene Spann in Deport. She preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2000. Jimmy was a 1968 graduate of Deport High School and a graduate of East Texas State University. Prior to his illness, Jimmy was an instructor at H. Wadsworth Learning Academy in Dallas. Survivors include his parents, Gordon and Vivian Isbell of Deport; his children, Denise Isbell and daughter, Alexa and David Isbell of Clarksville; one sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Kenneth Jones of Rockwall; four sisters-in-law, Carlene Roberts and husband Rick of Blossom, Mary Lynn Cole, and friend Donald Ray Jumper of Rockwall, Cathy Forbis and husband James of Reno, and Phillis Kilgore and husband, Richard of Deport; brother-in-law, Chris Spann and wife Joanna of Reno; his mother and father-in-law, A. B. and Delores Spann of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews.'
