| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Feb. 28, 2002: 'Veda May Thomas, 84, of Paris died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital North. Fry and Gibbs will conduct graveside services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the Detroit Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas was born April 7, 1917, in Red River County, a daughter of Frank and Robbie Spangler Haynes. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a brother, Gavin D. Jaynes of Paris, and a nephew, Gavin G. Jaynes of Paris. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lester, Marvin Lester, Terry Lester, Grady Finney, Anthony Dawson and Jason Cooper.' |
