THE PARIS NEWS, Jan. 06, 2002: 'HUGO, Okla., Emma Mae 'Katie' Babcock, 89, of Hugo, Okla., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at the Golden Age Home in Hugo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Mount Olive Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Springs Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Survivors include a son Sam Babcock of Hugo; three daughters; Bertha Hinsley of Hugo, Rosetta Caston of Hugo, and Mary Gilbreth of Hugo; five sisters, Ethel Spear of Harlingen, Elvie Hayes and Ollie Hayes, both of Montgomery, Bootsy Spear of Odessa, and Joyce Tinkenpaugh of Lawton; a brother, Dale Spear of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.'
