| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, Nov. 5, 2001: 'James Rudus Benningfield, 63, of Paris died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Merrol Ray officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Benningfield was born Oct. 20, 1938, in Unity to Samuel Ezra and Flora Garrison Benningfield. He had served in the Army and was a carpenter. Surviving are four children, Stephanie Shelton, Brian Benningfield, Ashley Finley, and Jennifer Benningfield, all of Paris; five grandchildren, Cecily Hines, Jacob McFadden, Justin Shelton, Alicia Benningfield, and Ashten Finley; and three sisters, Mary Winters of Marrero, La., Odessa Baker of Paris, and Martha Ray of Blossom.' |
