THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001: 'BOGATA - Raymond S. Tabb, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home in Tyler. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Cuthand Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Gist officiating. Burial will be in Cuthand Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home. Mr. Tabb was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Red River County to John Shannon and Etha Dozier Tabb. He attended school in Cuthand and served in the Army during World War II as a foot soldier in Germany where he was wounded. He was disabled the rest of his life living in veterans hospitals and nursing homes in the Waco area. He is survived by one brother, Calvin Tabb of Bishop; a sister-in-law, Delene Tabb of Cuthand and seven nieces and nephews including Sue, Beverly, Connie, Robert and John Tabb of Bishop and Ray and Dan Tabb of Bogata. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gordon Tabb.'
