THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, Nov. 2, 2001: 'Sue Carroll Banister, 67, of Paris died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital South. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, in the community room at Golden Acres Retirement Community with the Rev. Howard Siegel officiating. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. She was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Tyler to James William and Sibyl Brannan Weaver. She married Phillip Banister July 30, 1959, in Tacoma, Wash. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Israel of Tulsa, Okla. Surviving are seven children, Ginny Sadler and Howard Siegel of Tulsa, Joel Siegel and Cindy Quarles of Arlington, Tracy Raper and George Banister of Paris and Mickey Banister of Longview; grandchildren, Josh and Zac Keller, Shane Quarles, Chris and Brian Siegel, Phillip and Jack Banister, Jennifer Siegel, Kayla Siegel, Shandi Banister, April, Kara and Jake Raper; a great-grandchild, Trevor Banister; and two brothers, Jimmy Weaver of Jenks, Okla., and Phillip Weaver of Bristow, Okla.'
