THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, 6 Jan 1949: 'Mrs. Beyke Dies Thursday Morning - Mrs. Joe Beyke, 52, died at home, 1729 Walker St., Thursday at 2 a.m. She was formerly Miss Clara Louise Caylor, a retired Army nurse, who had served overseas in World War I. She came here in 1945 with her husband, Joseph H. Beyke, retired Army sergeant, who was then stationed at Camp Maxey. Brown-Roden Funeral Home took the body to Joplin, Mo., where the funeral and burial are arranged for Friday, Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home there having charge. Mrs. Beyke, born Nov. 2, 1896, in Joplin, was the daughter of the late Wesley Caylor and his wife, formerly Maybelle Chambers. Surviving are her mother, now living in Webb City, Mo.; her husband, two sons by former marriages, Damon Dude, living in California, and Merle William Martin, Jefferson City, Mo.; two brothers and a sister, Orley Caylor, Cartersville, Mo., and Clarence Caylor and Mrs. Mildred Vigler, Jefferson City.'
