THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, July 05, 2001: "Pauline Owens Bevill, 83, of Paris died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home chapel with Jeff Christian officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bevill was born April 14, 1918, in Lamar County to Robert and Hattie Mae McDaniels Owens. She graduated from Paris High School and taught kindergarten in San Antonio and Fort Worth. She married James Curtis Bevill on Christmas Day of 1937 in Paris. She also worked in sales for Ayres Department Store. Mrs. Bevill was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. She was also a member of AARP and the Fort Worth Porcelain Art Club. Mrs. Bevill is survived by her husband, Curtis; one daughter, Laura Hollowell and her husband, Edward; three granddaughters, Christy Keesee and her husband, Truman, and Becky Hollowell, all of Fort Worth, and Debbie Putman and husband Jason of Wylie; two great-granddaughters, Kylee and Marissa Keesee and one nephew, David Owens of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Delmar Owens. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Jason Putman, James Martin, Danny Martin, Truman Keesee, Jeff Martin and Todd Hines."
