| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, March 29, 2001: 'Porter Lee Thomas, 100 formerly of Arthur City died at his home in Dallas on Monday, March 25, 2001. Services will be a 11:30 a.m. Friday at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. S.F. Evans officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Arthur City. He was born Dec. 25, 1900, to Jay and Lonnie Hamilton Thomas. He was retired from Pennsylvania Railroad Co. Surviving are a niece and nephew, Florence Boyd and Richard Boyd and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice and a daughter, Deluce. Pallbearers will be James Smith, Larry Dennis, Gaylon Brown and Eddie Simpson.' |
