THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, November 1, 2000: 'Boswell Teal, 64, died Saturday, Oct. 28, in San Antonio. He is a native Parisian. Services will be at Chapel 3 Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio at 3 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sutton and Sutton Mortuary. He was retired from the Air Force and from Civil Service at Kelley Air Force Base. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Beatrice; a son, Brandon Teal; his mother, Ruth Teal; an aunt Oletha Teal, and a godson, Derrick Jones, and a number of other relatives and friends.' THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, November 19, 2000: 'Boswell Teal, Jr. was born in Paris to Boswell Teal, Sr. and Ruth McDonald Teal on May 11, 1936. He was welcomed into the presence of the Lord Oct. 28, 2000. He received Christ at an early age and was baptized, uniting with Solid Rock Baptist Church. Boswell, affectionately known as 'Teal,' attended Baldwin Elementary School during his early years. He later graduated from Gibbons High School in 1955. In continuing his education, Boswell attended Prairie View A&M University, where he received an associates degree in business administration. He then joined the United States Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He continued working with the Department of Defense and also served 20 years at Kelly Air Force Base before permanently retiring. While at Kelly Air Force Base, he completed his education at Our Lady of the Lake University and St. Mary's University, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration. Boswell met and married his soulmate, Beatrice Wilson, on Sept. 5, 1959. Together, this union was blessed with their long-awaited gift from God, Brandon D. Teal. He was a Master Mason of the Alamo Lodge #1491 and a member of the Alkoran Shrine Temple #99, both of San Antonio. Preceding him in death was his father, Boswell Teal, Sr. Remembering him with love are his devoted wife of 41 years, Beatrice Teal; his only son, Brandon D. Teal; his loving mother, Ruth Teal; one aunt, Oletha Teal of Paris; one godson, Derrick J. Jones; other relatives; and a host of friends and 'adopted' children.'
