THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, October 13, 2000: 'Lora Dell Brown, 89, of Tigertown died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. Burial will be in Tigertown Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She was born Dec. 12, 1910, in the Maxey community to W.A. 'Bill' and Emma Ray Carnahan. She graduated from Brookston High School and married E.C. 'Creed' Brown Feb. 11, 1931. They were farmers and ranchers and then owned and operated the store in Tigertown for many years. She was a member of Tigertown Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Robinson and husband Garth of Tigertown; two grandchildren, Bryan Robinson and wife Jessie and Laurie Mallicote and husband Charles, both of Tigertown; eight great-grandchildren, Grant, Clay, Janna, Matt, Weston and Jordan Mallicote, Carolyn and Carey Robinson; a sister, Mabel Lynn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Creed, an infant daughter, Nelda Ann Brown, a sister, Johnnie Wood, and a brother, Billy Ray Carnahan. Pallbearers will be Billy Lynn Carnahan, Donnie Carnahan, Marion Lee Ford, Mike Roden, D. Rannals, and Paul D. Blackshear.'
